Anti-matter weapons
Anti-matter weapon stores a small of anti-matter in a containment field held inside the power cell of the shoots. When the trigger is depressed, a bit anti-matter is released slamming into the target, causing massive damage when matter and anti-matter collide.
Cryo Weapons
Firing a bolt of super cold gas, the instantly freezes flesh on contact and turns some kinds of armor brittle, Cryo weapons are a common sight on many civilized worlds of known space.
Plasma Weapons
Plasma weapon shoots a small ball of super-heated gas. When the gas ball hits a target, it causes all but toughest of armor, to melt and exposed flesh to instantly burn.

Running across a dead body is a fairly common thing in most fantasy roleplaying games. Discovering a dead body can serve as a plot hook, a red herring, or be simple dungeon dressing. Since the dead body was once a living one, they are usually carrying something on them before they met their untimely end. Below is a list of items that one might find of a dead body.


1. A summons to the court of a local noble

2. A six-inch-long key

3. A false treasure map

4. A leather pouch filled with 4 cp and 1 sp

5. A love note from the dead person’s lover

6. A small bag with 2 days of rotting rations

7. A set of flint and steel

8. A single iron spike

9. A big of bread with black mold that acts as a contact poison

10. A journal with entries until the day the person died

10 Plot hooks for your 5e campaign

A Dungeon Master can always use more plot hooks for their game; here are a handful of plot hooks to help when your lacking inspiration.


The city is ablaze
While eating your morning breakfast at the local inn, you smell smoke. Man burst in the front screaming fire, fire, the city is on fire.


Bandits attack
The black hand bandit gang has taken over a nearby temple and it local for a mighty magical sword buried in the catacombs below the temple.


A ghost apparition
A ghost of a little girl has been seen down by the docks, and several sailors have been reported missing.


A strange sight
A flock of ravens in the thousands has amassed outside of the city what could it mean?


A dark omen
A green comet has appeared in the sky, and with it, a terrible plague has begun to ravage the county


Livestock attacked
An old farmers’ cows were attacked in the barn last night, and whatever did it was massive.


Men in black
The local grave digger reported see several people in black robes in the cemetery last night, and when the grave digger approached them, black robed people vanished into thin air.


Tunnels beneath the city
An earthquake last night has caused the road to collapse near the inn where the heroes are staying, the hole in the street reveals a system of old tunnels beneath the city.


Death of a leader
The leader of the local thieves’ guild has been assassinated, and the city is chaos as factions in the guild vie for power


A lost city
The lost city of the dwarven lords has been discovered, and now an expedition is being mounted to bring back the rumored riches of the dwarves of old.
