So it begins.......
A few years ago I decided I would take the plunge and get back into D&D after a ten-year hiatus. I really enjoyed 5E; I found the rule set tight with a little-added flavour from each of the previous editions. In less than a week I had the rule set down and even started to rules lawyer my DM, which promptly got me promoted to DM of the group.
As with all role-playing games I ever played, I usually end up running things in the end and while looking for additional source material to flesh out the Strahd campaign I discovered the DM's Guild. In the early days of my relationship with the DM's Guild, I spent money on everything thing. I purchased anything that looked cool or nostalgic. I ended up buying some quality content and some not so quality content. I also found material that I thought was of the same quality as official wizards product. Eventual I figured out to read the reviews and check the ratings before buying and soon the quality of what I bought got much better.
A few months back at the urging of my players I decided to start writing content for the Guild. Let me say there is a massive learning curve for creating good material for the DM's Guild. Sure I could pump out a new product every week, but it who end up being the same garbage I was complaining about earlier. I hate doing anything halfway and frankly would like to be known for producing quality content, which brings me to the point of this blog. I would like to review new and old Guild content and also write posts about my new content, and occasionally teach how I make created my Guild products to help new and old Guildies produce material they can be proud of.
Happy Gaming and may the dice gods bless you.
